First Night Adventure: Okay, full transparency—my girlfriend got a little spooked when she went outside at night (it’s pitch-black without the lights!). But once we discovered the solar lights, it turned into pure magic! The whole area lit up like a fairy tale, and we ended up laughing about it while grilling on the BBQ and cooking up a storm on the portable stove.

The Cabin Itself: The wooden home is gorgeous—rustic yet modern, with everything you need. Waking up to mind-blowing views of the river right in front and mountains wrapping around us was surreal. It felt like we had the entire valley to ourselves. And the privacy? Chef’s kiss👌—no neighbors in sight, so you can truly unwind without a care.

  Wow what a place to relax and break from the world. The views, house, river, sunrises, isolation, design, digital detox….(i could go on)… everything was amazing. We are both from… read more farms and returning to North Canterbury for a couple of nights was like returning to our childhood. We met friends for a birthday lunch at Pegaus bay (10min drive), enjoyed great wine and hospitality at the Boneline winery (4min drive) and a sneaky beer/cider at Brew Moon in Amberley on the way to Broomfield. Its all so close. We left the weekend feeling recharged, rested and reset. Francois & Kate, you’ve done a fablous job. The Hamper was a MUST do. We enjoyed the provided food so much. Everything was beautifully presented and well seasoned. So many detailed touches. All the home grown veges etc, made for such a wholesome meal. Just wow!
